We hosted 20+ senior legal procurement and risk leaders for an evening shaped by the most urgent topic in the room: third-party risk. Thank you to Mike Washburn (Director of Procurement, Covington & Burling LLP) for opening with a toast that set the scene for a thoughtful, high-energy discussion. With guests joining from New York and beyond, and Mike and travelling from Washington, the consensus was clear: teams aren’t asking for one-size-fits-all platforms or tools designed around embedded payments. They’re prioritising best-of-breed procurement and vendor risk management, and increasingly favouring solutions built on the premise that risk and procurement belong together.
